The Slater SYP True Log is made from kiln-dried Southern Yellow Pine. This is an extremely versatile log - both heavy-duty and light enough (when unloaded) for nearly all athletes to use. All Logs are stamped with our "Family Stamp" - D.P.D. This stamp represents the initials of Steve's Great-Grandfather, Daniel Peter Dixon, who was a logger. He used this stamp on his logs, so we use them on ours.

Additionally, True Logs are made from wood, which changes slightly based on its given environment.
